Pottery Care

High-fired stoneware pottery is very durable and is glazed with lead free glazes. It’s oven-proof and dishwasher safe. It will last indefinitely with proper care.

Casseroles and baking dishes should be warmed in the oven. Soup tureens, teapots, and casseroles to be used as serving pieces should be tempered with hot tap water before boiling water or hot food is placed in them. Avoid sudden temperature changes and never place a piece directly on top of a burner.

When using it in a microwave oven, make sure the food is touching all surfaces of the piece. If these simple rules are followed, your piece will give years of satisfaction.
