| Joe Troncale was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended
Georgia Tech and studied design, but decided eventually to go to medical school. He
graduated with an M.D. from the University of South Alabama. He is currently the Medical
Director of the Susquehanna Addictions Unit at Lancaster General Hospital. He studied
ceramics under Roy Hershey, M.F.A. in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and continues to study with
Roy as often as he can.
Joe has named his crafting Wunschlos Tonware German for perfectly
happy pottery. He lives locally with his wife and four children.
The pottery is stoneware, oven-safe, and lead-free. The white stoneware (look at the
bottom) is microwavable. he speckled stoneware has iron particles and probably should not
be placed in a microwave. |
